Kooperatif ortakları, kuruluş sürecinde İstanbul’da (İshaklı Köyü,Beykoz) kent çeperinde yer alan 8 dönüm araziyi, permakültür prensipleriyle tasarlayarak onarıcı tarımla üretim yapılan ve kent sakinlerinin temiz gıdaya erişebildiği sürdürülebilir bir yerleşkeye dönüştürmüşlerdir. Türkiye’de ilk defa kurulan ekolojik sosyal kooperatif örgütlenmesiyle, bu alanda 2 yıl boyunca ekolojik üretimin yanı sıra eğitimler, atölyeler, toplantılar ve projeler yürütülerek örnek bir alan oluşturulmuştur.
A kitchen/vegetable garden is a garden where vegetables and other products for human consumption are grown. Many families have these gardens to grow vegetables used in the kitchen. The number of vegetable/kitchen gardens has increased with the perception of the importance of organic nutrition more in the society. We will soon start the sale of pesticide-free products that we grow in our 650 m2 greenhouse area in Istanbul very soon.
In this project, which we started in partnership with Beykoz District Directorate of Agriculture, we started to grow raspberries in Ishaklı/Beykoz. We plan to show the advantages and benefits of healthy and pesticide-free agriculture, first to the farmers and producers around us, and then to all producers in Beykoz.
The English name "Caterpillar Tunnels" is a form of building a greenhouse low to the ground, taking its name from the tunnels dug by the caterpillars. Tunnels are very important to allow the plant growing season to start earlier, while also providing protection from the weather. In addition, “Caterpillar Tunnel Greenhouses” allow us to grow plants that may have some difficulty in the cold months in the region.
